At the Elm City Vineyard we celebrate that God is alive and at work in the world, and we seek to be formed as people who live life with a living God.
One of the core ways that we experience God as alive and active in our lives is through "hearing God’s voice." It's rare that we hear God's audible voice with our literal ears, but we can receive communication from God in all sorts of ways in the spaces that we imagine and perceive. In fact, our suspicion is that this is already happening, to one degree or another, for most people, whether they know it or not!
Join us for a Monday evening workshop where we’ll refresh our imaginations with illustrations of ways that God “speaks” (from scripture as well as stories from our own lives) talk about how to distinguish God’s voice in the often crowded space of our minds, and lay out some guidelines for how to discern what might be from God and what isn’t. And then we’ll practice hearing from God — together and for one another.
