Our nonviolence group meets regularly to talk through the principles, steps, or commandments of nonviolence as articulated by the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., which ground whatever campaign we’re doing in a Christ-centered discipleship model.

Our current campaign is to work toward no homicides in New Haven. We have two main approaches to that goal: 1) we celebrate every month that there are no homicides in our city (which we're hoping to do for the 4th month in a row in 2026!) or we mourn lives lost through a liturgy for homicide that we do the last Saturday of the month 2) we pursue creative action around a few policy goals to end homicides in New Haven.
