For five weeks during Lent, a group of people endeavored to take on a costly and consecrated challenge together: to write a new original song each week and to share those songs with one another. That process has been truly life-changing for all who participated. Creativity has bubbled up; confidence has blossomed; community has formed and deepened across different styles and generations; and over 85 songs have been written!

On Friday, May 8 at Lyric Hall in the Westville neighborhood of New Haven, each of the 17 songwriters who made it to the end of this year’s Songwriters Circle will share their best original song with you and your friends at our Songwriters Circle Showcase. Spanning genres of rap, R&B, ballads, electronic music, worship, and more, these songs are sure to be a gift and an inspiration to all of us. Join us as we enjoy and celebrate the fruits of their labor in community!
